Need
The request of the company was the need of unifying the management of mail servers in their branches located in Veneto, Lombardia and Friuli, without burdening too much connectivity.
More, they need a VPN connection between the various offices so to permit safe VOIP communications, without adding any cost, and the possibility to have a toll free number, automatically managed so to route the customer call to the nearest service center. URL filtering and mail journal for inbound and outbound mail was another needed feature.
Solution
Every branch has a Moltibox Appliance that is used as an internal mail server, granting distributed mail services on the same domain between more structures, not to mention redundancy given by the presence of more servers and independence from a central one. The mailboxes have built-in antispam and antivirus protection, both auto updating. Users can use a practical webmail or the wide available client software as Thunderbird, Outlook, OSX Mail. Every mobile device, featuring Android, IOS, Blackberry or Windows Phone is guaranteed working with the system.
Moltibox works also as multi branch VOIP Pbx, where an interactive Voice responder manages the call flow to the desired office just selecting the one you need on the keyboard of your phone. This kind of call generate no cost because they are routed through the VPN tunnels between the various section of the company. Communications is always granted because QoS (Quality of service) is implemented, reserving the adequate amount of band to voice, and, if connectivity lack because of failure, there is a fallback on ISDN lines.
